Tanacetum parthenium is an herbaceous perennial in the daisy family with small white flowers and pinnate leaves. Feverfew is native to Eurasia and has a long history of use in traditional herbalism. Feverfew is a medicinal plant traditionally used for treating various conditions, including fevers, migraine headaches, rheumatoid arthritis, stomach aches, toothaches and insect bites. It is also used for psoriasis, allergies, asthma, tinnitus, dizziness, nausea, and vomiting. The herb is typically tinctured, steeped as feverfew tea, or employed topically.
Precautions
Not for use in pregnancy. Feverfew may cause an allergic reaction in people who are sensitive to the Asteraceae (Ragweed) plant family. We recommend that you consult with a qualified healthcare practitioner before using herbal products, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, or on any medications.
